Normative References

ASTM F1926/F1926M: Standard Test Method for Dissolution Testing of Calcium Phosphate Granules, Fabricated Forms, and Coatings

Testing of calcium phosphate materials intended for use as coating for medical devices.
The purpose of this test method is to evaluate the dissolution rate of a calcium phosphate material.

The standard specifically addresses materials such as calcium hydroxyapatite (as per Specification ASTM F1185), beta-tricalcium phosphate (as per Specification ASTM F1088), and their biphasic mixtures, with or without intentional addition of minor components (less than 10%).
