This test method covers general test procedures and evaluation criteria for the corrosion resistance of stainless steel surgical instruments intended for reuse in surgery.
Distilled water and subsequently a copper sulfate solution are used as test fluids.
A visual inspection without magnification (according to the standard) is performed before and after the test to evaluate the result.
