This specification covers shoulder prostheses for total or hemiarthroplasty used to provide functioning articulation by employing glenoid and humeral components.
ASTM F1378 indicates the requirements on the surface finish as well as on the range of motion of the implant. In addition, general requirements for mechanical testing are given.
