ASTM F2514: Standard Guide for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of Metallic Vascular Stents Subjected to Uniform Radial Loading

This standard provides guidance for the numerical simulation of metallic vascular stents using Finite Element Analysis under uniform radial loading. The simulations are used to evaluate displacements, stresses, and strains. Loading conditions are selected to represent relevant stages of stent delivery and in vivo use. The standard applies within the limits defined by the material model and the assumed elastic or elastic plastic behaviour.

Verification and validation of computational models are essential for reliable simulation results. To establish model credibility, EndoLab follows the guidelines described in ASME V&V40.
