ASTM E252: Standard Test Method for Thickness of Foil, Thin Sheet, and Film by Mass Measurement

This test method determines the thickness of metallic foil and sheet of maximum 0,015 inches (0,38 mm) in thickness by measuring the mass of a specimen of known area and density. The test method is applicable to other sheets, foil, and film.
