PI-91: Fatigue testing of transfemoral fixations
Transfemoral fixations are a promising option for prosthesis patients. The direct connection to the exoprosthesis usually results in better wearing comfort and a better gait pattern. Currently, no test standards exist for static and dynamic testing of these components.
EndoLab specialists have developed a load scenario for dynamic testing based on extensive literature research. This derives the expected in-vivo loads based on the resection height and defines the individual test conditions.
Several transfemoral fixations have already been successfully tested using this protocol.
