Starting with a simple, motor driven single station knee simulator in 1991 we developed our first ISO 14242-1 six station hip simulator in 1998. The corresponding knee simulator according ISO 14243-1 has been put into operation in 1999. Both types of simulators are now available in full digital control equipment meeting the requirements of our 24 hours a day, 7 days a week run time.
Since 2001, our hip simulator has been modified to enable testing of spinal discs. This type of spine simulator now has been standardized according to ISO 18192-1.
